MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Furman's Ludvig Josefsson (-4) moved into a tie for 12th Monday at the Michael A. Marino Classic at the par 72, 7,370 yard The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

A sophomore from Hestra, Sweden, Josefsson birdied three holes on the back nine to complete round two on Monday.  He finished the round with a team-high five birdies and carded a 72.  Entering Tuesday's final round, Josefsson is five strokes behind individual leader Max Bengtsson (-9) of Coastal Carolina, who surged into the lead after firing a 63 in the second round. 

Senior Harris Barth (+4) paced the Paladins with a 1-under 71 in the second round and is tied for 49th.  He birdied three out of four holes from No. 2 through No. 6 and finished the round with four birdies.  Seniors Clark Akers (+6) and Zach Frazer (+6) are tied for 65th.  Akers eagled the par-5 No. 15 and added four birdies to conclude the day with a 72, while Frazer scored a 73 with birdies on No. 2 and No. 13.  

Freshman David Oliver IV (+6), who is playing as an individual, is also tied for 65th.  He tallied a 75 with birdies on No. 3 and No. 17 in the second round.  Junior Fisher Kennedy (+10) is in 82nd place after carding a 76 with three birdies to conclude Monday's play. 

Liberty (-12) and N.C. State (-12) are tied for the team lead with one round to play.  No. 33 Louisville (-11) and Charleston (-11) are just one shot back in a tie for third, while host Coastal Carolina (-9) rounds out the top five.  The Paladins (+12) are tied for 13th with Kent State (+12).

The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Tuesday beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Furman will tee off on No. 1 starting at 11 a.m. and will play in a group with Kent State and Louisiana.  Admission to the tournament is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/239036/scoring/team.
