AWENDAW, S.C. -- Furman senior Harris Barth (-8) fired a 67 Monday to move into a tie for seventh at the 20th Hootie Intercollegiate, which is being held at the par 72, 7,282 yard Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C.

A native of Atlanta, Ga., Barth teed off on No. 10 and birdied his first hole.  After posting bogeys on No. 11 and No. 10, he was flawless the rest of the round.  Barth birdied No. 16 and No. 18 to turn at one-under then posted four birdies on the front for a team-high seven birdies on the day.  He sits six strokes behind individual leader Frankie Harris (-14) of South Carolina, who blistered the field with a 63 in round two.  

Senior Zach Frazer (-2) shot a 1-under 71 with four birdies to move into a tie for 31st, while senior Clark Akers (+1) is tied for 50th after adding a 76 with birdies on No. 4 and No. 15 in Monday's second round.  Sophomore Ludvig Josefsson (+3) and redshirt sophomore Walter Anderson (+3) each moved into a tie for 64th.  Josefsson tallied a 73 with three birdies, while Anderson shot even par at 72 with four birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 2 and No. 3.  

Freshman Cameron Reed (+2), who is playing as an individual, posted a 74 with four birdies and is tied for 55th. 

Co-host College of Charleston (-41) extended its lead to 14 strokes on Monday.  Co-host South Carolina (-27), which ranks 43rd, is in second place, followed by No. 45 Purdue (-22) in third place.  No. 39 Kansas (-21) and 37th-ranked Clemson (-18) complete the top five.  Furman (-10) moved up into ninth place in the loaded field, which includes six Power 4 teams.

The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m.  The Paladins will tee off on No. 10 starting at 8 a.m. and will play in a group with ETSU and Florida Gulf Coast.  Admission to the tournament is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/243688/scoring/team.
