CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Senior Zach Frazer (-3) is tied for 11th to lead Furman after Saturday's two rounds of the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, which is being held at the par 70, 7,020 yard Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.

A native of Coppell, Texas, Frazer posted a 1-over 71 with birdies on No. 8 and No. 15 in the day's opening round then played a virtually flawless round two with a team-high five birdies and just one bogey to finish the round with a 4-under 66.  

Seniors Harris Barth (+5) and Clark Akers (+5) are tied for 57th entering Sunday's final round.  Barth scored a 73 with three birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 11 and No. 12, in the first round.  In round two, he birdied three-straight holes from No. 4 through No. 6 and added an additional birdie on No. 11, finishing the round with a 72.  Akers fired a 69 with back to back birdies on No. 11 and No. 12 and a birdie on No. 3 in the opening round then added a 76 with three birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 11 and No. 12, in round two. 

Sophomore Ludvig Josefsson (+11) notched a 74 with consecutive birdies on No. 10 and No. 11 and a third birdie on No. 15 in round one and carded a 77 with two birdies in round two, tying for 78th, while sophomore Walter Anderson (+14) shot a 77 in each round with three birdies on the day.  He sits in 86th place.  

North Carolina's Grant Roscich (-11) holds a 2-stroke individual lead after blistering the field with a 61 in round two. 

Host North Carolina (-29), which ranks 11th, leads the Tar Heel B team (-11) by 18 strokes with one round to play.  No. 27 Duke (-10) is in third place, followed by 29th-ranked Texas A&M (-9) in fourth.  Nebraska (-3) completes the top five.  The Paladins (+18) are tied for 14th with Campbell (+18).  The 15-field tournament features seven Power 4 teams and five teams ranked among the nation's top 42.

The 54-hole tournament concludes Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. with teams teeing off on No. 1 and No. 10.  Furman will start at 9:50 a.m. on No. 10 and will play in a group with Campbell and Garner-Webb.  Admission to the tournament is free.  Results and live tournament scoring are available at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/239293/scoring/team.
