Greenville, S.C. – The Furman softball team will close its regular season this weekend with a three-game series versus the Chattanooga Mocs at Frost Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The series is set to open with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday and will conclude with a single game on Sunday at 2 p.m. All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+. Links for the live streams and live statistics are available online at FurmanPaladins.com.
Furman enters the final weekend of the regular season at 13-36 overall and 5-13 in league play, but the Paladins have won eight of their last 14 games, including a series victory over the Wofford Terriers in Greenville last weekend. The Paladins are currently in eighth place in the Southern Conference standings, two games back of a three-way tie for fifth place.
Chattanooga salvaged the final game of its series at first-place UNC Greensboro last Sunday to improve to 19-27-1 overall and 7-11 in SoCon play. The Mocs blanked the Paladins three times in last year's series at Pepsi Stadium and holds an 87-28 lead in the all-time series between the schools.
Following this weekend's series at Chattanooga, the SoCon Softball Championship will be held May 6-9 at Frost Stadium.
