GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's Olivia Hasselbach has been named the Southern Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for all competitions held Sept. 16-22, the league office announced Wednesday. 

A native of Tampa, Fla., Hasselbach finished at 10-under par to tie for second this weekend at the 52nd Annual Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C.  She fired a career-best 67 with six birdies to open the tournament then added a 2-under 70 on Saturday with three birdies in four holes from No. 10 through No. 13.  Hasselbach notched her third-straight round under par on Sunday, finishing with a 3-under 69 with four birdies in seven holes from No. 9 through No. 15, including consecutive birdies on No. 11 and No. 12.  

Hasselbach bet the field's scoring average by eight strokes in the first round and by more than four strokes in each of the final two rounds.  Her efforts helped the Paladins tie for third in the team race.

Furman will compete at the Fighting Irish Classic in Notre Dame, Ind., Saturday and Sunday.
