GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Jason Coules went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs to power Fordham to an 11-3 victory over Furman in baseball action Sunday afternoon at Latham Stadium.

The victory completed the three-game series sweep for Fordham (5-6) and sent Furman (5-6) to its third consecutive defeat.

The Rams never trailed in the contest, taking the lead for good in the third on Coules' RBI single that drove home C.J. Vazquez.

Fordham made it 5-2 in the fourth on a Nick LaBella double into the left field corner that plated Andy Semo.  LaBella then raced home on a Matt Tarabek single.

The Rams blew it open with two more in the sixth and finished off their attack with a pair of runs in both the eighth and ninth frames.

Coules' three-hit performance headlined Fordham's 14-hit attack, which included a 3-for-6 effort by Tarabek and LaBella's 2-for-3 outing, capped by a two-run home run in the second that staked the Rams to a 2-0 lead.

Furman registered 11 hits but suffered 14 strikeouts and stranded 12 base runners.

Fordham's offensive efficiency helped pave the way for Ram starting pitcher Cory Wall (1-1) to collect the victory after allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings.  He struck out six.

Taking the loss was Rob Hughes (1-1), who also worked five innings, allowing five runs on six hits and a pair of walks.

Paladin pitching notched only two strikeouts in the contest.

Jordan Starkes' 3-for-4 performance led Furman at the plate.  Jared Mihalik and Logan Taplett had two hits apiece.

Furman plays host to South Carolina on Tuesday in a 6:00 p.m. game at Fluor Field in downtown Greenville.
