GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's popular "Lunch & Learn" online presentations are set to continue at noon Tuesday with a trifecta of baseball pitching expertise featuring Paladin head coach
Brett Harker, pitching coach
Kaleb Davis, and Furman special advisor and former major league pitching coach great
Leo Mazzone.
Sponsored by Pepsi, Lunch & Learn, which is accessible to the public via remote conferencing service Zoom, has proven to be a hit since its debut earlier this month with Furman athletics director
Jason Donnelly, Paladin head football coach
Clay Hendrix, and a panel of Furman's senior female athletic staff leaders.
Fans can join the conference via the

Harker, a member of Furman's coaching staff since 2015 and head coach for four seasons, has coached for 10 years in the Palmetto State.  He starred on the mound at nearby prep powerhouse Hillcrest High School, claiming all-region and all-state honors on his way to the College of Charleston, where he was named SoCon Pitcher of the Year and Louisville Slugger All-America, helping the Cougars to consecutive 47-16 and 48-15 campaigns and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.  In 2014 he was  enshrined into the College of Charleston's Wall of Fame.
Davis, who played collegiately and later coached at Anderson (S.C.) University, joined Harker's staff as pitching coach in 2017 and oversaw a staff that recorded a program record 421 strikeouts versus only 156 walks — the bases on balls figure the lowest per nine innings ever by a Furman staff.  Headlined by All-SoCon right-hander Will Gaddis (9-3, 1.89 ERA), a third round draft pick of the Colorado Rockies, and left-hander Grant Schuermann (7-4, 4.19 ERA), that staff helped pave the way to a program record tying 33 wins and Southern Conference Tournament runner-up finish.
Mazzone, who joined the Furman program as a special advisor in August of 2016, served as pitching coach of the Atlanta Braves from 1990-2005, playing a key role in the Braves winning 14 consecutive division titles (1991-2005), five National League pennants (1991-92, 1995-96, '99), and the 1995 World Series championship.
During his tenure in Atlanta, he helped craft and coach dominant pitching rotations that produced six Cy Young Award honorees, four ERA titles, and nine 20-game winners, highlighted by Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, and John Smoltz — all National Baseball Hall of Fame inductees.
Mazzone, who served as pitching coach with the Baltimore Orioles for two seasons (2006-07), was named by ESPN.com as its No. 1 assistant coach of all-time.
