Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team resumes Southern Conference play on Wednesday evening when it travels to Greensboro, N.C. for a 7 p.m. tipoff against the UNC Greensboro Spartans at the Greensboro Coliseum.

The Paladins (9-6, 1-1 SoCon) played their first conference road game of the season last Saturday and dropped a 76-67 decision at VMI.
Jalen Slawson led Furman offensively with 20 points and added seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal.
Mike Bothwell contributed 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting and pulled down a team leading eight rebounds.
Joe Anderson registered his third consecutive game scoring in double digits after contributing 11 points.
Alex Hunter added four steals.
The Paladins concluded the game shooting 40.3 percent (25-of-62) from the field and held a 13-8 advantage in points off turnovers.
Hunter leads Furman on offense this season averaging a team high 16.5 points per game while Bothwell contributes 15.1. Slawson adds 16.2 points and a team leading 8.3 rebounds per game.
UNC Greensboro is currently 8-4 on the season and begins its conference schedule on Wednesday. The Spartans are playing for the first time since December 16 when they defeated UMBC 62-51 in Baltimore, Md. De'Monte Buckingham leads UNCG this season averaging 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. The Spartans are under the direction of first-year head coach Mike Jones.
The Paladins and Spartans are meeting for the 41
st time in program history with UNCG holding a 21-19 lead in the all-time series.
Furman returns to Greenville on Saturday, January 8 when it hosts Mercer at 4 p.m. from Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
