HANAHAN, S.C. -- Seniors Anna Morgan (-3) and Sarah-Eve Rhéaume (-3) are tied for 12th to lead the Furman women's golf team Monday after two rounds of the 18th annual Cougar Classic at the par 71, 6,269 yard Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan, S.C.

A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Morgan fired a 68 with a team-high five birdies in round one then added an even 71 with three birdies in the day's second round.  Rhéaume, who hails from Boischatel, Québec, tallied a 71 with three-straight birdies from No. 18 through No. 2 in the day's opening round then paced Furman with a 68 and a team-best five birdies in round two.

The Paladin duo is four strokes back of leaders Jenny Bae (-7) of Georgia and Andrea Lignell (-7) of Ole Miss, who shot 135 for Monday's two rounds.  

Freshman Faith Johnson (+9) is in 84th place after two rounds, while freshman Cloe Johnson (+12) is tied for 88th.  Faith scored a 77 with three birdies in round one and rebounded with a 74 with three birdies in the second round, while Chloe carded a 77 in each rounds with five birdies on the day.  Junior Caroline Crumrine (+16) is tied for 95th. 

Freshman Liza Lapeyre, who is playing as an individual, is tied for 29th entering Tuesday's final round.  She fired a 70 with four birdies on the front nine, including back to back birdies on No. 8 and No. 9, in round one and added a 72 with four birdies in round two.  

Ole Miss (-13) holds an eight-stroke lead over Clemson (-5) and N.C. State (-5) entering Tuesday's final round.  Michigan State (-4) and Florida State (-4) are tied for fourth, while Miami (-2), Georgia (-2) and Tennessee (-2) are tied for sixth.  Furman (-15) sits at 15th in the loaded field, ahead of Power 5 programs North Carolina (+18) and Louisville (+20).

The 54-hole tournament will conclude with a shotgun start beginning at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday.  Furman will tee off of No. 12 through No. 14 and will play in a group with Kentucky and Penn State.  Live tournament scoring will be available via http://www.golfstat.com.
