Just one game after surpassing 1,500 career points, graduate student Nick Anderson poured in a season-high 24 points to pace Furman. Sophomore Cooper Bowser converted on all eight of his field goal attempts and 5-of-7 trips to the foul line to add a career-best 21 points as the Paladins topped Samford in Greenville for the fifth consecutive time.

Anderson, who averages 13.2 points per game, has contributed a team-best 15.8 per game in league play while shooting 41.4% behind the arc against SoCon opposition. Bowser has averaged 8.9 points per game and ranks second in the league this season shooting 64.1% from the floor. He has stepped up his performance in SoCon play by averaging 10.0 points per game in nine conference contests. Senior PJay Smith Jr. leads the Paladins at 16.1 points per game.

Sunday's road matchup marks the 71st meeting between the Paladins and Buccaneers with Furman holding a 36-34 series edge. Furman, winners of five straight versus ETSU, claimed a 73-70 decision in Greenville on January 15 in the first leg of the regular season home-and-home series behind 21 points from Smith. The Paladins are in search of their third straight win in Johnson City. Speaking of road success, Furman enters Sunday's contest tied for third nationally with seven true road wins this season. Furman's 72 true road wins over the last nine seasons ranks fifth among all NCAA Division I teams.

ETSU is tied with the Paladins at 5-4 in league play and sports a 12-10 overall record. The Bucs dropped a 70-65 verdict at UNC Greensboro on Wednesday night.

Following Sunday's game, Furman returns home to host Western Carolina at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Davis Field House on the campus of Bob Jones University. Tickets are available at FurmanPaladins.com.
