Greenville, S.C. – Furman softball opens its 2025 season February 6-9 when it welcomes Evansville, Stonehill, South Carolina State, Tennessee Tech, and UT Martin to Greenville for the Paladin Invitational at Pepsi Stadium.
The 14-game tournament begins on Thursday night with the Paladins entertaining South Carolina State in the season opener. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Brock Bowling and former Paladin shortstop Stephanie Cushing on the call. Friday and Saturday will feature five games each day at Pepsi Stadium. Furman will cap Friday with a 7:30 p.m. first pitch versus UT Martin before taking on Stonehill in the final game of the day on Saturday at 7:30. Tournament play concludes with three games on Sunday, including the Paladins hosting the Evansville Purple Aces on ESPN+ at 1:10 p.m. Admission is free to all games at Pepsi Stadium.
Furman is beginning its fourth season under the leadership of head coach
Stacey Johnson-Whitfield. The Paladins, who posted a 24-30 mark a year ago, which included victories over ACC foes Clemson and Louisville, are led by preseason All-Southern Conference choices
