Furman looks to tighten its hold on a top-six spot in the league standings. The Paladins enter the road trips at 18-6 overall and 6-5 in the Southern Conference following a thrilling 84-75 overtime win over Western Carolina on Wednesday night at Bob Jones University's Davis Field House. Furman trailed by eight points late in the second half before graduate student Nick Anderson ignited a rally with back-to-back three-pointers and scored on a driving layup in the final 10 seconds of regulation to knot the game at 66-66 and force the extra period. Anderson scored 11 of Furman's 18 points in overtime and Tom House buried a crucial three-pointer to secure the victory.

Wednesday's triumph marked the 10th time this season Furman rallied from a second half deficit to grab a win. Anderson finished with a season-high 30 points, PJay Smith Jr. totaled 15 points, and Garrett Hien registered his second double-double of the year with 13 points and a career-best 15 rebounds.

Saturday's game marked the 101st meeting between Furman and Chattanooga (16-8, 8-3 SoCon) with the Mocs holding a 59-41 series edge, including a 32-13 advantage in games played in Chattanooga. The Mocs rallied late to claim a 75-71 victory over the Paladins in the first meeting of the season on January 18, at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

NOTE: Furman's home contest versus UNC Greensboro, scheduled for Saturday, February 15, at Bob Secours Wellness Arena, has been moved to a noon tip-off.
