Furman-CofC Baseball Suspended In Eighth Inning Due Rain

Box Score

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. -- Furman's Southern Conference baseball game at the College of Charleston was suspended in the eighth inning due to rain and lightning and will be resumed on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with the Paladins leading 9-7.

The game was suspended after Furman was retired in the top of the eighth inning and the College of Charleston coming to bat.

Saturday's scheduled game between the Paladins and Cougars will follow the completion of the suspended contest at The Ballpark at Patriots Point.

A pair of home runs by Taylor Johnson headlined Furman's attack, which also featured two-run home runs by Alex Abrams and Greg Harrision, who made his career debut for the Paladins on Friday after sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the squad's final fall practice.
