2023-24 SoCon Academic Honor Roll
Greenville, S.C. – A total of 235 Furman student-athletes have been named to the 2023-24 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, which was released Thursday afternoon by the league office.
Furman's 235 selections represent the 18 intercollegiate sports offered by the university in 2023-24.
The academic honor roll originated in 1988-89, when SoCon athletic directors established the award to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. The academic honor roll consists of student-athletes who participated in varsity sports and posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher for the academic year, were eligible the entire academic year, and were members of the final squad lists.
Thirty Paladins garnered perfect 4.0 grade point averages for the 2023-24 school year:

Seventy-seven Furman student-athletes received the SoCon Commissioner's Medal, which were accorded to student-athletes sporting GPAs of 3.8 or better.
The SoCon had a total of 2,473 selections to the Academic Honor Roll, third-most in conference history. Of this year's qualifiers, 684 earned the Commissioner's Medal, awarded to student-athletes who attain a GPA of 3.8 or higher throughout the year, and 244 posted perfect 4.0 GPAs.
